Another Invitation

Neighbors,

This blog is not about one person but about our community. It is an open forum and provides a chance for sharing and even venting (within reason). The prospects of really positive change have come about through the recent action of the majority of the Board. Using this medium we can express ourselves and work toward more harmony and a sense of community spirit. It would be so cool if our Board could take advantage and regularly let us know what is going on.

Maybe as a start we could get a more complete explanation of:
1. why the last minute shift back to Horst and why it was handled as it was,
2. the rationale for the change in the Groundskeeper and the shortcomings of the previous provider,
3. why the childrens' play area was removed when it just needed some attention,
4. why the mowing is always done at the beginning of the week leaving us looking seedy by the weekend,
5. why the questions asked by Dick Hunsinger have not been answered here, and
6. why the bulletin boards are not being kept current.

Board Changes

The following information was shared with us by the Board::

At our last meeting held at my house on May 31, Fred Pledger was elected as president, Jamie Ottavianno as VP, Bob Fies and I maintained our current positions as secretary and treasurer, respectively. Lou Getty is a member-at large. I think we made a huge point and I hope we have a good year. Also, we want to rotate the presidency so that one person never gets to that position two years or more in a row. Look for the new info on the bulletin boards soon.

Painting question

1 - Did I understand at the annual meeting that when the exterior painting is done on the designated units the guters and downspouts are going to be replaced?? Or did I misunderstand something??

2 - Is Demarco going to be made to repair the sidewalk he cracked in Walton Ct. during this winters snow removal. ? Also is he going to be made to recoat the parking lots he damaged with his improper equipment? These were brought to Lou Getty's attention previously..

3 - You're right Bruce..We only live here and pay dues. Why bother us with details of what is going on.

Big Change

What is this all about? There has been a rather large change in the board structure but, as usual, most of us have not been made privy to what happened. It really seems that Wingspread has never had such an extended period where the residents have been excluded from what is happening and why. Hey, our homes represent one of our largest investments and it does not seem fair to keep us so in the dark.
