Wasting a Blog
There is no obvious use of this blog and quite evidently not much interest in information sharing about our community. At the annual meeting there were efforts to discourage interest in this and a selling job done on the Newsletter. Well, it is now 5 months into this Board and there is no Newsletter that I have seen.
It would seem that the owners and residents would like a voice in their community, at least more than once a year in a rather rushed meeting. I suspect that if a few of us begin using this blog to share our discontents, ideas, comments, suggestions and observations we may find a way to be heard. Gee, maybe we could even encourage the Board to share more about their decisions and actions.
I was distressed to see how the banks along the drive have been cut back. Our previous chairman of the Landscape Committee indicates that this action may well have turned around the very obvious gains that were made in the crown vetch recovery during the past year. How was the decision made to do that? The issue of the removal of the playground was mentioned in the previous post and it is still distressing to find that kids have been deprived the opportunity of a nice place to play. Especially, since that was probably a part of the reason that some people with young children elected to live here in the first place.
Isn't it time we all start to express ourselves about the decisions and actions that effect us all? Are the new guidelines on parking being enforced or are they like most of the rules and regs just there with no teeth? Are you fully satisfied with the way things are being handled with your home and money?
Time for YOU to get your two cents in.
