What's the message?
It is a bit tough to understand what we are to read into the decision to remove the playground facilities in Wingspread. Coming so soon after the annual meeting one wonders why there was no mention of this at that meeting. I recall hearing only one complaint about someone getting splinters on a piece of equipment but that seems a small price to pay for a place to play.
Are we becoming so cost conscious that we willingly give up on some of the items that attracted us to Wingspread in the first place? Do we want to let it be known that "kids are not welcome here"? Can it be that this area was within the bricks and is of less importance to the community? How do you see this?
